OVERVIEW
CLASSIC ITINERARY – CANAL DU MIDI
Anjodi is a classic Dutch-designed hotel barge that began cruising the historic Canal du Midi 35 years ago. Known for its traditional construction, the barge uses African hardwoods and brass to create a warm, yacht-like atmosphere onboard.
The interior boasts a welcoming saloon, furnished with rich wooden flooring, elegant French dining furniture, comfortable banquette seating, and a fully stocked bar, making it a cozy place to relax. Anjodi accommodates guests in four compact, smartly designed cabins that feature hardwood panelling and brass portholes, offering a choice of twin or double beds, each with private en-suite facilities.
The spacious sundeck is a highlight, equipped with an adjustable canopy for shade, comfortable sun loungers, and a spa pool—ideal for unwinding with a glass of chilled white wine while soaking in the surroundings.
Anjodi has also gained fame beyond its cruising experience, achieving “film star” status after appearing in the television series “Rick Stein’s French Odyssey.” The show featured the renowned chef exploring Southern France’s culinary delights aboard Anjodi. Today, guests can follow in his footsteps for a memorable journey along the Canal du Midi, a 330-year-old waterway recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, making the Anjodi not just a means of travel but a part of the cultural and historical tapestry of the region.
